Tania Exley-Moore, the Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for Scarborough and Whitby has welcomed the news that the constituency is 'anyone's for the taking', according to the BBC.

Tania appeared on BBC Look North on Tuesday April 12th, highlighting the mess over the Scarborough sea defences contract, where the Conservative Cabinet of Scarborough Council failed to ensure that the contracts were openly awarded. The resulting overspend is running into millions of pounds.

Tania is campaigning for a Power of Recall, where people could vote to throw out failing councils and officers even outside a normal election.

News that Whitby and Scarborough is becoming a three way marginal confirms what Tania has been hearing on the doorsteps and in Whitby and Scarborough town centres: that people feel misled over the war, and no longer believe the spin that passes for politics these days.

Tania says: 'This great news. Now people of the area know - if you want Council Tax abolished, if you want students to be free from tuition fees, if you want pensioners to be better off, vote for me because the Liberal Democrats are in the running for winning this seat.'
